This session [Stirring the Waters of Change: Integrating a Racial Equity Lens in Capacity Building ] was filled with highly useful ideas, approaches, and resources that I and others immediately began to apply to our racial equity work with current clients, while still in the workshop. The participants brought a breadth and complexity of experience to the table, and the format and tone set by the leaders gave us the courage to speak to what is hard and risky in our practice. This allowed for rich conversation and many insights. Like other pioneers before them, Curdina and Judy and their growing group of co-leaders are venturing in uncharted directions, crafting and refining resources, and challenging their colleagues in the sector to become champions of a practical, applied focus on the role of power in organizations, and the work of developing racial equity within them.
